Diamonds have always been the most loved and prefered jewellery item which enjoys unparalleled popularity in both fine as well as fashion jewellery line. Owning a diamond is not only equated with beauty and elegance but also symbolises status and luxury in the society making it the most desirable possession for almost every individual.
It's a well known fact that diamonds take around 1 - 3.5 billion years to form making it extremely rare and precious and along with the rarity comes the rich cultural and historical heritage it brings along with them. Whereas the Lab grown alternatives could be manufactured in bulk, by one who desires disparaging the rarity factor.
The “IT” factor is the factor that makes a diamond rare, it can be it’s color , cut , carat or at times even the inclusions that make the stone standout , because every diamond has a story to tell. Even though the Lab grown stones are technologically modified with minimum to zero inclusions they miss out on those raw attributes of the natural one's that makes them so unique.
Diamonds are not only every woman’s best friend but also a wise man’s investment. Natural diamonds will always have a minimum resale value close to it’s purchase price and the chances of an increase in the price is possible depending upon its rarity. Lab grown diamonds do not enjoy this privilege, as the cost of the diamond is dependent on its rarity and uniqueness which neither of it is possessed by them.
Natural Diamonds are considered as a symbol of love and not just a monetary investment, due to its illustrious journey from the bosom of the earth Natural Diamonds possess an emotional value which cannot be matched by any of the gemstones also. It's seen as a legacy that is passed on from one generation to another. Usually gifted on special occasions like weddings, birthdays anniversaries etc therefore there are a lot of memories associated with them.Where as lab grown diamonds majorly form a part of fashion jewellery which is used for daily wear so it usually lacks deep emotional attachment with the consumer.
It doesn’t matter how big or small a diamond is but it has always given a sense of pride to its owner making the jewellery extremely valuable and irreplaceable. But since the lab grown diamond jewellery being available at a much lower price tag the sense of awe and enigma attached is drastically lower.
Considering the points above although Lab-grown diamonds would be budget friendly and trendier choice but they will never be able to replicate the rarity, without the Earthly origins of natural diamonds, they also lack the unique qualities infused by nature.
